Robert Downey Jr has been cast as Iron Man in a film of the same title.

Do you think he'll play the part of Tony Stark / Iron Man well?
Who else would you choose for this part?

I think he would be able to portray him well. Given Robert Downey Jr's past, and Tony Starks past, I think it's a really good choice.

Wow. I never would have thought of Downey as the Superhero type.

My personal pick would have been the billionaire dude from "Friends", Jon Favreau. I mean, he's already done the role: billionaire gone extreme fighter.

Wow! There must have been some subliminal reason I thought of him. Maybe it was his interest in Iron Man comics that made him accept the role in Friends. Very strange, indeed.

i'm sure he'll do pretty well, he did have that sort of eccentric feel in a scanner darkly.

I hope this is a good film. I really like the way Iron Man is focused around the corporate and political world. Although the Mandarin is a lame bad guy.
