Iron Man

Saw this last night and it wasn't that bad actually. I mean it's fairly brainless but the acting is ok and I enjoyed being entertained for a few hours.

Plus it looked quite cool and is deffo one to take advantage of good picture and sound quality at the cinema :)

Went to see this earlier, thinking "Well, this is going to be crap"

Well I was wrong, it was pretty good.. infact I would rate it 8/10

It's good but lacking like most of these marvel films just made for sequels and they drip feed you the action that should be in one film over the course of three or four films, great though quite slick actually.

Saw this last night and yeah it was actually pretty good. Didn't think it was quite as as good as the Spiderman or X-Men trilogies but much better than the likes of Ghost Rider and Ang Lee's Hulk film, proberly sits just better than the Fantastic Four films which I personally liked.

Can't wait for the BlueRay to see it again and hope they do a sequel.

Saw this tonight. Very good film I thought. Robert Downey Jr was very impressive. Gwyneth Paltrow wasn't too bad either ;).

The fire extinguishing robot was cool.

Watched this at the weekend and though it was good, not much action but what there was of it was pretty cool, Though Downey and Bridges were great but Gwyneth was a bit iffy.

I went to see this yesterday with the missus and it was very enjoyable. It seemed to have a stronger underlying action comicyness rather than being a slightly far-fetched action film. And yes, I thought scutters too when I saw his robots!

The credits seemed to take an age, almost as long as all the ads and rubbish before the film started. The short scene at the end left me slightly feeling like it wasn't worth the wait, just another blatent sequel teaser. We were the only ones that waited, and when we finally left there was a barrier marked "cleaning in progress" we had to duck under to get out. We did get a few suspicious looks from people waiting to go into one of the other screens....

PK!

*Possible Spoiler for those who have not seen it yet*

I think the thing is it not only hinted at a sequel but hinted at an Avengers Film as well which would be cool. :)

Watched this last night. Brilliant film.

Funny, great and action and doesn't take itself seriously. Finely a decent comic/superhero film.

Thor movie: 2010, Captain America: 2011 and The Avengers: 2011.

Dont forget the punisher

On the note of the Fantastic four the only thing I wanted from that ENTIRE series of films was Galactus and they messed it up good and proper.

I WANT GALACTUS

Also a Captain Marvel and a Nova film would ROCK, but I doubt we will see something like that for a good 10 years, but now we have a Marvel Studios I would expect it!

some dates for the diary :p

Marvel has confirmed its plans to release Iron Man 2 and two new Avengers movies.

The follow-up to Robert Downey Jr's superhero movie will land in cinemas on April 30, 2010. However it has not been confirmed whether the original movie's creative team will return.

In 2011 the company is planning an Avengers-themed summer with two releases from the franchise.

Released on May 6 is First Avenger: Captain America, while an all-star version of The Avengers set shortly after the first Iron Man movie is scheduled for July.

Other projects expected from the studios include Matthew Vaughan's Thor in 2010 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009.

Enjoyed it very much, thought having Favreau's take on it - a bit more light hearted and poking fun at itself - worked well. Excellent actions scenes and some decent comedy in it - thought Downey played it to a tee. Gwynie was fantastic to look at, but more wooden than a wooden stick. Made of wood.

Roll on the sequel - missed the teaser bit in the cinema, but it's floating around on the usual sites.

At least it wasn't as big an advert for Audi as I Robot was. Really enjoyable film to watch though, I saw it last night. Slightly let down with the scene after the credits though, they have to be the longest set of credits ever!
