I have built my parents a new system which i am very happy with but i have one problem i want to sort so that it runs flawlessly.

The spec is below:

MSI M3-F Intel G31 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-114-MS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=326

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-251-IN&groupid=701&catid=6&subcat=793

OcUK 4GB (2x2GB) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-014-OK&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=813

Ati XFX 4770 512MB http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-133-XF&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1434

Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-053-SA&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=1279

Basically when i restart the computer the screen never turns itself back on again it just says no signal?

I have tried two differenct monitors on DVI and analogue inputs, onboard graphics, Ati x300 and Ati 4770 512mb. I ahev removed and reinstalled the graphics drivers and done a driver sweeper between reinstalls.

Could really do with some help with this dont know what else it could be? Anything in the bios? I cant seem to update the bios becuase the installer wont work with Vista 64bit which is so annoying!

Thanks in advance.

I've just built up an old PC for parents and had a similar problem- realised I had used my old monito to set it all up and then switched it back to the monitor for the parents and the problem was I had set the resolution to a setting not supported by the other monitor, so as soon as it got to windows load it wouldn't work

So nothing at all is shown on the screen when you restart? That isn't graphics drivers, not if the monitor isn't even showing the BIOS.

A BIOS update might well help. What you said about the installer not working set warning bells ringing, because it's a bad idea to flash your BIOS from Windows anyway. Most recent boards allow you to flash from a USB stick by pressing a key during startup.

Yer thats what i would like to do but i cant seem to find any documentation about doing that.
