Probably get mocked for this one but here we go...

Does anyone here know of any specific techniques for ironing polo shirts? I've got quite a few and on nearly all of them the collars have gotten out of shape and ended up with stupid curls on the corners.

Is there anything I can do to prevent this? I bought a few not long back and want to know what I can do differently before I potentially ruin these ones. Also any way of getting rid of the annoying flicks?

Ta :)

I think I may have made a thread similar a while ago, if I didnt, it certainly crossed my mind.

I think starch is probably the only way to stop em curling back up over time. Ive tried ironing them down etc, but nothing seems to work consistently :(

Based on the advice of a female friend (not me honest guv)

Iron collars on the inside, flat against the board. You need to do this from the first wash else there is little chance of correcting them without starch.
