Basically, I can't play it!
Ha!
I can run the game, get to the start menu, watch through the "intro", then after the "undue..." title, the game will either :
- Spawn me in the floor and have nothing happen (rare)
- I'll hear Alyx's voice stuttering and loop
- I'll hear the fire sound looping
and if I try to ctrl-alt-del I get the "white screen of death" so I have to log off to get out of it.
Changing the resolution to my monitors native 1280x1024 oddly fixed the sound stuttering issues.....but I'm at a bit of a stall, really.
I've got the most recent nVidia drivers, DirectX 9.0C.
Any suggestions?
