A month or two back now I put together a new pc - she's quite a beast and I'm pretty content with it - however lately theres been a strange noise now and then coming from the PC.
Usually its just a dull roar from the fans - which is fine, I have 2 samsung spinpoints and at first I thought it was them.. but they are actually pretty inaudible except when in use.
Last night I got fed up and decided to try and find the source - turns out.. from what I can tell anyway that its the corsair 520w PSU! If I gave it a bit of a whack.. the noise would stop for a while.. but if anyone walked around on my wood flooring it quickly started up again. I have a Lian li v1000+ on wheels so the vibration aspect is usually pretty good.
Anyone got any ideas on what it could be? It doesnt seem good.. to have a strange clicking noise constantly coming from the psu really does it? Have I any grounds to return it or am i out of luck do you think?
