I have just freshly installed Windows 7 64bit Pro and I keep getting this Error every couple of startups. (System spec in sig)

"LucidSrv is not running. Disabling Virtu MVP, and exiting. (Remember to enable Virtu MVP after the problem is fixed)"

I also get a notification sound like I've plugged a usb drive in too, as windows is settling from start up.
Has anyone got any ideas what's going on please?

The installation of all the Asus drivers for the mobo didn't seem as smooth as it did when I first got the board. Could this be something of a sign?
The system works fine otherwise its just the VirtuMVP that shuts down and no matter how many times I reinstall the software for it, it keeps going wrong.

have you installed the latest drivers for both intel and GTX graphics cards? as well as the latest version of lucid from their website?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Well that's a weird one actually, I tried to install the latest MVP software yesterday and it wouldn't let me. Anyway, I tried again just now after reading your reply and it worked! So maybe it will work ok now. Fingers crossed.

I'm still baffled by the 'found new hardware' tones at startup though. Sometimes after that it then makes the triple tone one and that's the 'not installed properly/failed' one isn't it?

It's just annoying me man, I've never had my PC moan so much about a fresh OS install! lol

PS and yes, new intel and latest NVidia drivers.

You're welcome, I don't have lucid on my machine so that's me tapped out I'm afraid, hopefully someone else with lucid will be able to offer some tips...

Haha ok well thanks for your efforts! :) I've restarted a couple of times now and the lucid issue hasn't occurred again yet so may be its solved. But it's still supposedly 'finding hardware' each time which is the more annoying one for me, as I'm not plugging anything in!! lol

*UPDATE*

Well an update on this is that after many attempts at sorting it I gave up, uninstalled it and disabled it in bios. Now everything works great and tbh no different what so ever performance wise.

Virtu MVP is not worth the hassle at the end of the day. It seems (going by how many other complaints I have seen) that it is just way too sensitive to different system setups and gets very twitchy. :( Shame cos the idea is good!

Thanks for the replies guys but Virtu has bit the dust! ;)
