I am trying to insert some Ts&Cs (Terms and Conditions) onto the end of a document with the ultimate goal of being able to use it in a template manner for legal purposes. i.e. whenever a legal document is finished being drafted we're able to attach the Ts&Cs at the end or create the document with it already as the last page.

My problem is that when you copy and paste the Ts&Cs into the target document it inherits the formatting of the target. When you turn this off it still retains the targets tabulation. It also strips out the header and footer which I would also like to just have as the last page.

Not expecting a solution to this, I've been plugging away at it for the last few days without success.

The problem is that headers and footers are designed to be on every page. If you only want them on the last page that you paste the Ts and Cs onto, then you would be better to make the header and footer in normal edit mode, rather than header/footer mode.

When pasting, if you use a "merge" paste, it should retain the layout of the original document, but set the font as the same. If you use the "Keep source formatting" option, then it should remain exactly as in the original. Can you clarify what you mean by tabulation?

Why don't you set a macro to insert a file at the end of the document with the first bit being a section break so that the headers/footers are not carried over into the rest of the document.

Sorry - the tabs are set outside of the margins and in 5 columns:

Ok, so create the new page to paste your Ts and Cs on and make sure the cursor is at the top of that page, then select:
Page layout tab -> Columns -> More Columns -> Click "One" -> Set apply to "This point forward" -> Click OK

Then just paste in your Ts and Cs page, along with your "fake" header and footer.
