Irritation with Live Account

So not long ago I had to cancel my card due to fraudulent activity. Didn't bother updating with MS as I wanted to go back to buying subs as I needed rather than monthly susbcription.

Now though, instead of simply reducing my membership to Silver, they have completely locked my account from any Live connectivity and it seems the only thing their stupid account management system will let me do is add another card.

Have tried inputting a code for a sub but it tells me it's invalid.

Anyone got any suggestions? Or do I need to just put in a new card?

I'd say ring them up and try and sort it out, if the code your inputting is valid and unused then it may not work as your account has been locked. You can check the code online i think without redeeming it - it'd tell you if it was already used..

had this last week, I rang up, they effectively destroyed my Payment account, whilst letting me keep the tag, gamerscore etc etc, no problems there

Then I was free to stay on silver or upgrade as I wished

Just give them a ring, no hassle
