Got my Q6600 (not G0) at 1.32v for 2.7Ghz (333x8) on my Asus Blitz which from what I've seen elsewhere looks a bit high?

It runs really hot (55deg idle atm :() so I'd like to lower it but I swear it wasn't stable on all 4 cores at anything less.

Any tips?

:)

Goes upto 75 on load on core 1. I know it needs lapping because temps can vary across the cores by 10 degrees or so.

I'm using a Tuniq Tower 120 with AS5 so it shouldn't be this high?

Just reseated it. Didn't look too good when I took it off, didn't look like there was enough TIM on there. There's just the right amount on now but it's not made any difference :(

Can TiM go off? I've had this tube of AS5 for ages

Well I've just finished lapping it, idle temps down to around 40 with 2degrees difference across the cores, load temps down to 55.

Not bad :D

you needed 1.32v to get your b3 to 2.7 ? Maybe im just lucky to get my b3 to 9x333 at 1.275 around 40ish full load
