is 1000w enough?

I just want to make sure that I have the right PSU for the job. I ordered the Corsair HX1000W Yesterday with intention to Crossfire HD6850s, However the new HD69** Series came so I ordered 1 (adding another in March for my birthday).

ASUS Sabertooth x58 Mobo
XFX HD6970 x2
Intel i7 950 @3.8GHz
Antec 900

dam, ive already got the non modular version of that and ive already ordered the 1000w.

Should be ok though, my dads PSU died yesterday so he will be taking my 750w for his GTX8800

I was watching Linus Tech Tips and he was rabbiting on about 2 580s and a 980x not pulling more than 700w odd from the wall in a rig he was testing or something to that effect.
