i have not looked to see if there is anything available, but i have 2 22" led 1080 monitors, no 120hz and beyond stuff and once i sort out driver issues i will try my first hand at proper dual monitor setup and see what movies and games are like and so if i like it and want to keep it that way for the most part then when i eventually upgrade gpu i will look at a 3rd monitor.

problem is my desk while fairly large is not big enough for 3 22" monitors nor do i have the room space to expand and without going for a too much of a triangle layout i was thinking of a smaller screen for the centre, but obviously 1080.

that leads to the question, if you can get 1080 monitors smaller than 20/19" will the quality be the same when it comes to setting up or will you notice the size difference?

cheers for reading and any replies

Sell your current monitors and purchase a 34" ultrawide. Seems like the only solution here. You can thank me later :p

+1. I definitely think having a smaller centre monitor would be a bit of an eye sore and so I'd recommend going ultrawide instead. I'm in a somewhat similar situation to you in that my desk, whilst also fairly large, also wouldn't fit 3 24" monitors comfortably. I personally intend on going to a 34" ultrawide for my next upgrade.

ha thank you for the suggestions, sadly that is not an option, the one monitor is around 6 months old and the other which is identical was a christmas present :).

the orgirinal idea was to have xbox on and pc or game with browser open on the other screen, but ive managed to sort my issue out and watching a movie this dual wouldnt be too bad, not tested a game yet, but 3 monitors would be ideal for the better effect ;).

so to sum this up are you saying there are no smaller 1080 screens or just one bog screen is always the better?

To answer the question - a smaller 1080p monitor would actually look "better" in terms of PQ than a larger one, since the pixels would be smaller, giving a sharper image.

However...

This. If you want 3 monitors, then IMO either 3 identical, or large central and smaller on the edges.

Bear in mind that when you're gaming, your main focus is going to be on the central screen - why would you want to make that experience worse (in terms of size) by having a smaller monitor as the main screen?

thanks for the feedback.

to answer the last bit, it was simply because i couldnt fit 3 22" screens on my desk, well i probably could in some way, but only if i go from a atx case to a cube of some kind as i have a m-atx build and case is wasted on it and the case is on the desk for its window and no space on the floor other than that i thought the image of the 18.5/19 centre and the 22" sides would look somewhat like i was in an x-wing or something lol.
