I got my replacement on a BenQ XL2420T as the last one suffered banding and clouding issues with minor back light bleed.
My new one arrived and is MUCH better.
Now, i'm not sure if this is a problem or standard but on 60hz, blacks tend to be blacker especially full screen and more depth added to the black I see, say on Battlelog.
However, choosing 120hz sort of ups the brightness of the black so it's not as rich anymore. It's very minor. Also full screen on black, the black isn't as dark as it was, be it minor again.
Is this basically what 120hz does? I'm not sending it back because i'm sure it's not a fault, or it could be a placebo effect on me.
Also, is there a much quicker way of changing refresh rate? The idea I had was to have desktop use at 60hz, then let it auto change for games to 120hz. However, i'd like to use 120hz for how smooth the mouse looks, so maybe it's best changing to 60hz for watching a film. Is there a quicker way instead of right click, screen resolution, monitor, advanced?
