Is 150watts a bit high for a idel pc

If that includes the monitor and the speakers, 150W is pretty good actually.

You've got an overclocked CPU, 2HDDs, a power-hungry GPU, a big set of speakers and a monitor, for less than the load-draw of a single high-end GPU.

yeh that includes the monitor but no speakers, but when I turn on the speakers it bumps it up to another 28watts...

By the way, Im doing this from the load of my ups. I have a 1200va/670watt ups and its load is 24%, so thats 161watts, but Im running a house cordless phone and a router so Ive knocked off 11watts for these 2 items. I have quite a few other things plugged in the ups, but there not turned on

Sounds about right, my quad system idles at just over 200watts according to my ups's built in power meter. That’s with 2 pumps, loads of fans and a heavy overclock.

My HTPC draws just 39watts in total :) that’s with an undervolted laptop c2d, so-dimm ram and an ati gfx with active power management, struggles to hit 50watts under full load lol
