ok thanks :) if i am running say firefox, spotify, and doing some photoshop with MSN runing at the same time will it still give good performance??

Yes, it will be fine. That laptop is no slouch. Yes, the 1mb cache will hamper performance vs a full fat 3/4/6mb offering but we're not talking about a P4 here. It's a Core 2 Duo dual core CPU.

My sister uses her laptop with a similar CPU for the same uses and has had no issues with it.

RAM will be running 3:4 divider.

1MB cache is loads on a laptop - the 5400RPM HDD will be a much more noticeable performance bottleneck.

hopefully it will be, it wasnt on my acer 8930 though
i didnt get the ram running at full speed till i upgraded my cpu
when you get the laptop check with CPU-Z to see if ram is at the full 1066mhz
