Is 20k considered good in 3D Mark 2005?

Hi there

I am not up to date, so am wondering if 20,000 in 3D Mark 2005 is considered good.

What are the highest scores people have here?

20k is pretty good, my 1900xtx would score around 10k - 12k.

I'm presuming you have a dual card rig

Its a Crossfire PC, so is 20k good for Crossfire, its not Quad SLi....

EDIT: just looked on the orb, searching for all cards + all processors and all drivers 20k would get you in the top6

X6800 ES
Intel Bad Axe (How the hell do I overclock on this thing?)
HIS ICEQ3 X1900 Master Card
HIS ICEQ3 X1900 XTX
Corsair 6300C2 2GB Kit!

All I can say its such an amazingly fast system and surprisingly quiet.

So that score is with a stock CPU? :eek:

As for the bad axe the BIOS is meant to be awful to navigate, best off asking on XS or something.

Very nice. I wish I had a spare £1500.

As for overclocking not sure if you were being serious or not but have a look here. Maybe not a great idea for sample products but if you decide to give it a go be sure to let us know how far your new Ultima Extreme system can go

As far as I'm aware you need to mod the Badaxe to enable the overclocking options in the BIOS.

Yeah you have to short the debug pins to get the OC options iirc

I updated the BIOS and now I can change the multiplier and CPU voltage along with some powerslope option, should this be on?

Though FSB seems to be increased by some positive percentage malarky which works but seems limited at 440FSB, how can I get higher?

It looks like you can use clockgen to get a bit higher

I remember when there was some hype when a guy got the new record of ~16000 in 3DMark05

He was using LN2 as well and the rig didn't last long at those speeds.
