I find 24hz is better for bluray. The playback is defo more smoother

I think 100Hz when watching certain Blu Rays can make the movement look almost robotic and un-natural.

No i dont think so. I have a 46" Sharp and my friend has a 40" Toshiba. Same setup with a PS3. On playing a BR Movie you can definately see judder on the Toshiba where my 46" Sharp is as smooth as silk.
