Is 3000MHz RAM good enough?

About this time last year, I built a new PC for my home office based on an i7 9700K. It’s currently got 16GB of ‘TEAM GROUP VULCAN T-FORCE 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C16 3000MHZ’ installed and I’m looking to upgrade to 32GB.

I mainly use the pc for photoshop work where I often have several 500MB - 1GB files open at the same time.

im just wondering whether the 3000MHz ram is sufficient or should I replaced the 16GB I current have with a higher performance ram?

Can you just not try overclocking it?

I have 3000Mhz ram but runs fine at 3466Mhz by selecting 3466 XMP speed and a voltage increase to 1.4vlts.

See if it makes any difference in the stuff you use it for, that way you'll know whether to go for just more RAM at 3000Mhz or more RAM at a faster speed.
