Is 400w Enough?

Most sites recommend a PSU with 32A +12V rail for the 4870. Therefore might work, but most likely be running it at high load which could result in instability & or failure of the unit over (short) time.

What's your max budget? Ask because you could squeeze in this PSU & not have to worry about that part again :) Could also sell the Akasa & put the money towards it

Ignore those online calculators. The power estimates they come up with take the ****. Honestly if you get a power meter and see what your PC is really drawing it will be nothing like what people recommend.

Are OCZ PSUs good quality .... I'm about to embark on a (low budget) upgrade/build for my kids PC and need a PSU. Before TWO I was leaning towards the Corsair VX450 - which I have in my main PC as was only extra £6 ... but differential is now £12 so OCZ is now more attractive!

Since they bought PC Power & Cooling they seem to be putting together some good units. The new range(s) seem to get good reviews ;)
