Hi all.

I am putting together my final specs for my full system upgrade. Will my Enermax Noisetaker 470w be enough for the following:

6600 C2D
Intel BadAxe2
Corsair 2gb Dominator 6400C4 44412
HIS X1950 XT 256mb
74gb Raptor
Akasa Eclipse 62 with 2x 120 ambers
undecided on cooler, scythe ninja/freezer 7/tuniq tower

I will also have a 250gb sata and a DVD-rw

Also i am looking to overclock the 6600 to about 3.2-3.4ghz

it probably would be but you would really be cutting it tight and you would end up having to get a new psu if you wanted to o/c a little more or add another hard drive. would definately recommend you get a new psu (600+W so it would last you longer) just to save you in the long run, i have corsair 520W it's class so quiet...get it!

i can't say for definate though but that's my thoughts

sweet thanks for the info, might be able to save a few bob, but on the other hand a lil voice in my head says 'your spending the best part of a grand, why not go the whole hog, get a modular psu and make it look nice n tidy in my new case.'

SO MANY CHOICES (and voices) lol

Which ATX version is it, i.e. 1.x or 2.x? If 1.x, it will be lacking some features such as (crucially) Separate 12V rails :(

Wattage is enough for proposed upgrade ;)

well the readings on the side of my 460W PSU are as follows, maybe the guys here can tell if its a decent enough to run your kind of system, then you can compare it to your PSU:

+3.3V --- 28A(PURPLE) +12V --- 30A(YELLOW) +5V --- 30A(RED)
+5VSB --- 3A(BROWN) -12V --- 0.8A(BLUE) -5V --- 0.5A(WHITE)
