Is 55 degrees for an AMD Duron too hot?

I'm trying to install Windows XP on an oldish computer that has an AMD 1300 Duron. It's crashing a lot and I noticed that the BIOS was reporting the temp as 55 degrees C. Is this too hot and likely to cause the crashes?


If so are AMD duron fans still available to buy?
