Is 86C worrying for a GTX580 SC?

I've no idea whats good or bad for graphics cards, but I have just noticed that while playing Far Cry 3 my GTX580 Superclocked is running at 86C core temp. Its a completely stock card apart from a backplate. Should I be worried/look at changing the cooler? The fan is at 66%, suggesting its not running hot enough to think it needs 100% fan?

That temp is fine. You could clean the fans out to make sure there is no dust but I wouldn't worry about those temps at all. You could even set an aggresive fan curve in Afterburner if you are worried.

Edit:

Certain manafacturers (EVGA) allow you to take the cooler off and reaply some thermal grease. If after dedusting and setting a fan curve, temps are not improving, I would do this.
