basically i've noticed on the 2 front wheels an uneven tire wear, the outside part of the offside tire is getting worn and the inside part of the drivers side is getting worn, so my mate says it could be the tracking, so i take it to budget tires and they say that the tracking is off. now i need 3 tires because the 2 front ones are illeagle (no tread on the outside) and i have no spare as that was put on the rear offside when it got punctured. so i asked the guy how much would it cost for 3 new 155/70 tires, fitted and tracking sorted. he says £90, is that a good price?

Arrowspeed?

yup thats the one, the thing about tyres for me is, im not the boy racer type, i dont have a fast car (nissan micra), i use it to drop my mum off at work, go to college, pick mum up from work, do general errands, go out and see friends etc. i dont throw the car about. so i think this is a fair option for getting tyres, but then again im no expert!

i went to a tyre dealership and asked the guy how much it would cost for 2 155/70 tyres and he said £42.50 for 2 tyres, and he said they were yokohama, is that a fair price?

Please get all 4 replaced, especially if they are different makes/tread patterns!

thing is, the back 2 are great, there is still a very deep tread on them both, and one of the back ones was changed only a few months ago (puncture)

edit - and really im only replacing 2 tyres, one of the 3 will be going in the boot as the spare ;)

well at least both the front ones will be the same :p

but i know the back ones are of different tread patterns.

whats the difference between radial and cross-ply? perhaps a crude drawing in microsoft paint to illustrate :p
