Is 90KGs a lot to move on the Seated Leg Curl Machine?

I recently posted up on another forum about my progress after 6 weeks of going to the gym.

everything was OK until I posted about the leg curls machine (sit with pad accross knees, legs straight then pull down to 90 degrees) I usually do 4 X 10 at 83KGs but have upped this to 90KGs although only for 10 reps.

I'm basically being called a lier as some of the guys there have been going to the gym for years and have only ever seen pro's do that weight. I'm not into BS'ing about my weights as I want to learn and grow so I posted honest figures in the hope I'd get some advice and support. Instead I get 'yeah righto, you can move that weight'

****** me off a bit tbh as if I was going to BS about anything don't they think it would be about the chest press of something?

Sorry for the rant!

Why are these guys giving me grief then. They're all gym goers and have been for several years.

When I started I used 65KGs but didnt feel it was heavy enough. 83KGs was my usual for a month then I tried 90KGs.

Is that per leg or for both? for both it certainly isnt lots, but it is good progress :]

Thanks guys. Not sure what going on over there then. Its like a witch hunt lol.

Seated leg press I'm currently on 150KGs. I do 10 X 4 with 10 X 4 calf raises inbetween.

I've linked this thread over on the other forum. Would like to get input from the guys over there as to why 90KGs is questionable for such a n00b.

I can do 90KG easily, it's not that impressive.

Edit: Which isn't to dumb down your progress incidentally. Keep improving :).

tbh, they probably havent seen any pros if they think only pros do that weight!

lol thanks for the edit :)

Its a struggle for me but the one lower which is 83KGs doesnt feel quite enough.

Still loving the guy though so onward and upward :)
