Is 93C too hot?

I cant do anything about it coz I have cerebral palsy and also cant see very well at all. So to hell to the silly thing, if it blows up, it blows up.

Sorry, done:) (the sweary)

Got my brother to have a look, he said he cant see coz the heatsink and fan is bigger than my wallet LOL. He gave it a little jiggle and said it seems on properly. Any easy way of telling?

It should only wobble if it's flexing with the motherboard. It's definitely not seated right.

Trying coretemp now. Cores are at 60 to 63C at idle:( Tjunction (whatever that is) says 100C.
For some reason its saying the CPU is a q6600 at 3000mhz but all other programs say qx6850.

Tjunction is where it starts to throttle at.

I would really see about getting the heatsink re-seated with the minimum of paste.

Not really. All the QX6850's are revision G0.

1.1625v is really low. Maybe 1.2625v?

I'm guessing that CoreTemp is misreading the VID (judging by the fact it thinks it's a Q6600 too).

I'm not sure what the usual default vcore of the QX6850 is tbh. Tho 1.4v for 3ghz is probably right.

Just ran PC wizard 2008, thats saying the vcore is at 1.050v and temp is 50C. I think the low vcore is coz the CPU is at 2000mhz (speedstep is enabled).
At full load PC Wizard says vcore is 1.238v and temp 80c.
