Is 93C too hot?

Do you have Coretemp the program?

Humor me, run it and report back what the 'Delta to' values are

I cant do anything about it coz I have cerebral palsy and also cant see very well at all. So to hell to the silly thing, if it blows up, it blows up.

Your in the same boat as me mate, I have cerebral palsy, and its sush a ass, cos you need to get ppl todo fiddley jobs for you. Basically when it comes to building or upgrading my system, mum is my hands and Im the brains, telling her what todo, cos she dosent have a clue with pcs:D

Those temps dosent look too bad tho, but if you want to lower the temps even more, try a "Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro". The reason I say 1 of these, cos there easy to fit and the come with paste already on the heatsink. So basically a amateur cam mount 1 of these coolers on the cpu... Cos in my experience, my mum gives up easy, so I have to make all my builds or upgrades fairly easy todo.

NOTE : Remember if you remove the heatsink for what ever reason, you have to remove all the paste from the cpu and the heatsink and apply new paste before remounting the heatsink back on.

UPDATE
Brother had another look at the PC and he discovered the side fan was blowing into the case, turned it round and the CPU got to 69C at full load. Cores are at 75 to 80C depending on the core. Still a bit high but I think its coz of the crap case.

Thanks for all the help guys:)

Your pc will be terrible in the summer if its 75 -80c,, you need to reinstal your heatsink/fan, and prob get a better cpu heatsink/fan too, cos at that temp your cpu prob wont last long before it burns out

If u do go for a new heatsink for *** CPU, make sure you go for one that is easy to fit, so will be easy for whoever has to fit it for you.

From what i have seen the ones with the push pins are a bit of a nightmare (my Ninja was a bit of a pain) so go with one with a backplate. Ok you may have to remove the mobo but then it should be plain sailing.

well i got a awsome quad here that does 3.6ghz easy
and im thinking i need to lap it becuse in coretemp its showing idle at the moment as

core 0 :40
core 1 :40
core 2 :35
core 3 :39

i wonder if i can get all my cores to report 35c lol
weird thing is this, the cpu doesnt appear to be concave at all.

could it be that the cpu is internaly concave ? you know where the cpu and the ihs meet ?

what do you guys recommend ?

I recommend that you start your OWN thread.

Not very nice to pop in a thread where someone is having heat problems and you come in all smiling about your great clocking quad . A bit selfish tbh.

ohh put a sock in it sheesh.... i wasnt thread crashing but there is always someone isnt there.
and i wasnt being selfish either... the last post in the thread made me reply... not the original topic lol

Hmm, not thread crashing but your first post is all about you and your quad :rolleyes:.

Nothing made you reply, also you replied to nothing either so ?. All you stated was that your overclock was easy and you want to get your temps even across the 4 cores?. All about you and it belongs in an overclocking/cooling thread other than in a thread when someone is having problems.

Any way. End of subject from me. I'm doing the same to this thread as I'm accusing you off.

I know what your saying mate, but come on, a little bit harsh dont you think!
