Just wondering if a 3200+ A64 will be ok for COD4 on low/medium settings at 1280x1024 ( could use 1024x768 if needed )

GFX will be a 6800GT running XP and 1Gb RAM :)

yep.

but only if you upgrade ram to 2gb and maybe graphics but thats not so important

I run on medium with 2gb ram amd 3500+ single core and gts 320mb 8800

1280x1024

EDIT: whats that rig in your sig eh?

LOL, the rig in the sig is mine, all mine

Im trying to stop my kids from bugging me and letting them run it on thier PC if its up to it :p

I was very pleasantly surprised by COD4 performance. As a rough guide I'd say it runs around the same speed as HL2:Ep2. I'd imagine that system can hande it although obviously you will need to be sensible with the settings.

I run COD4 at medium high settings with an A64 3000+, 7600GS 256MB & 2.5GB RAM

It runs well albeit at low settings on my p4 1.7, 6800LE, 512MB RAM also. :)

Well with the 6800GT in my rig and my CPU @ stock it was playabe at 1440x900 on low/medium details.

I have to say im pretty suprised, lets hope the 3200+ in the other machine dosent hold it back too much :)

A friend of mine plays it on my old rig, one AMD 3200+, 2gb RAM, 6800GS. He started on high but was complaining of stutters. I told him to whack two settings down to medium (don't remember what they were, the two that sound most demanding) and he tells me it is quite playable now.

a friend of mine who runs a Gaming Café has a bunch of PC's with Athlon 2600+'s and Radeon 9600Pro's that run CoD4 @ 800x600 fairly well.
