Is a 750ti right for me?

Just getting back into PC gaming really after some years of only retro gaming. I have a relatively compact rig (antec NSK3480, i5 3570k) and am wanting to put a graphics card in it for general gaming, mainly for driving games but i might play fifa type titles once in a blue moon, can't see me doing much FPS but old school beat-up type games if they're still being made

Monitor is 1080 resolution maximum, i'm not that bothered about ultra detail and AA etc in crysis 3 but i'd like a card that will make games playable (look goodish) for a few years

Considering the Palit KalmX 750ti 2gb passive card as this is a quiet pc... the other option is wait for the 960 but as i have the cash for the 750ti now and this pc isnt getting newer... I was convinced that waiting for 960 was the way to go till they announced the postponement, then i saw that palit card.. is this the right card for me? will it be able to do what i want visually?

budget.. £150ish, have 660w PSU, ideally not 2nd hand, and the low power consumption of the 750ti is desirable as my case has limited cooling. 1x120mm rear, 2x92mm front fans. Have a noctua D14 on the i5 though so it's not as if temps build up in it as is

edit: also i like that the palit 750ti is passive

it's tempting to wait but 'delayed till Q1' could be march, i don't want to wait another 5 months only to find the 960 too hot or too loud

but at the same time i don't want to be annoyed because games look poor or aren't as playable as they should be because of the 750ti's skinniness.

for £150ish, look for a 2nd hand 670/760 or wait for GTX 960 (prolly around £180-200 tho, but will beat the pants off a 670/760).

750Ti will probably hold you back a bit in intensive games at 1080p.

sigh... wait foor 960 it is... lets hope they bring a passive version in a dual slot size
