Hi all.

I'm currently working on a new website. I've been designing it in XHTML and CSS but i've realised i'l be having a lot of "interactive" features and i'm wondering whether some sort of CMS will be better/easier.

I need the following:

A news system to enter news, which users can add a comments to.

Some sort of timetable which I can easily update.

A calendar what users can add events to.

I want to be able to post articles on pages quickly and easily.

BUT, I want to use my own design with XHTML/CSS - Not having to go through the hassle of creating a theme and editing it as I always get stuck. I've tried Joomla in the past and i've always quit halfway through and gone back to a standard website as its too much hassle.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Much appreciated. :)

I had similar questions when I redesigned my site.

In the end I kept it with my own designed pages and then just bolted in Coppermine Gallery, Wordpress and a couple other scripts.
