Is a D5 (MCP655) really better than a DDC (MCP355)?

I have an 18W DDC-1T plus with an EK X-Top V2, and was wondering about changing it to a D5 with a top.
But from all the reviews I have read and from "Martins pump and RAD optimizer" I could not see how a D5 can be so much better than a 18W DDC with an aftermarket top!

When I put my components in to the excel sheet(martinspumpandradoptimizerv601.xlsx) and compare the figures, I get lower flow with a D5 in setting #5 than with a DDC!:confused:

With all the components constant(almost same as what is in my Main PC right now), it is showing as having 1.21GMP for DDC 18W and just 1 GPM for the D5 at setting 5!

Has any one actually compared the two pumps with measured figures for Flow and temps and may be noise?
I know the above excel sheet can only be used as a guide.

But if D5 has no "real" benefit over a 18W DDC, is it justifiable going for a D5(in terms of flow)?:confused::confused:

I assume 2 pumps in series will give more flow? (but not 2X)
Also decoupling the pump and isolating from the case will reduce the vibrations and noise!
