hi there,

Basically as the tital suggests I need a new computer dell has a sale on, all I need it for is the basics and I do a lot of downloading so it would need to be on 24-7 I like this style as I don’t have a lot of room and this saves a lot of space.

Questions are could I use this and keep it on 24-7 without turning it off.

Will there be any issues with overheating do you think?

Are there any issues I have notconsidered which you think may be of help.

Thanks in advance

What do you want this PC to do for you? If you want to game at any kind of reasonably decent settings and performance, an AIO PC is not for you. If you just want to surf, download, stream, maybe do some MS Word stuff... email... basic stuff... sure, get an AIO.

There is no issue with having the machine on all the time. Being on and idle isn't likely to cause heat issues unless the cooling system is horribly designed. If you had it under heavy load 24/7 I'd be concerned, but for basic stuff like having downloads going, no, you won't have heat issues.

What are the tech specs of this machine that you want to get?

Do you think you'll want to upgrade it in the future (AIO is very hard/impossible to upgrade)

Will you ever want to do any kind of serious PC gaming on it? (AIO is bad for this too)

Are you sure this PC has enough power for your projected uses for the next couple of years?

if you're set on an AIO, have you looked at iMacs? They cost more but man... they're nice.

Thanks mister sprinkles for the comprehensive reply, perhaps you could help with another question, literally earlier on today I realised I could upgrade my very old computer from 1.5 gigs of ram to 4 gigs, as this is currently doing everything I want but is slow. perhaps the 4 gig will give me the boost I need to keep me going for a few more years to come.

I found this through the crucial website, I was just wondering if there was a similar tool to show me what the best processor I can buy to put in my computer which would be compatible with my motherboard and everything you know.
