Is a driver re-install required when changing graphics cards

Just reinstall over the top, ive done this quite a few times without issue. No need to run any driver cleaning programs either.

I am interested to know if hardware reviewers re-install drivers each time when testing multiple graphics cards.

Couldnt honestly say, but last week i was swapping between gtx 460's and 470's on the rig in sig, i just reinstalled over the top.

Erm...isn't the GTX560Ti 448 is just basically a GTX470 with a higher stock clock and lower power consumption and temp (due to being GF110 instead of GF100)? I really don't see the point on the move to be honest...

Considering it's being paired up with a E8400, I don't think you will see as much gains as what's in the comparison.

You may only see a couple of extra fps here or there but you may not see much gains at all.

Most benchmarks are misleading as the cpu's used in them are sometimes the best money can buy!

It is a bit strange, personally id have invested in a better cooler for the 470 and clocked it to 800mhz, power usage will still be high but itll run a lot cooler, and its a cheaper solution.

The 470 is still a decent enough mid range card, but unfortunatly it is dying and has to be replaced. I will upgrade my system next year with the release of the new Intel cpu's.

Ahh, thats a different matter. Have you not contacted the manufacturer regarding the problem with the 470? Or are they offering you the 560 as a replacement? If the latter, then thats pretty good.

My card is over a year old and Palit being a budget brand have a limited warranty. I will not make that mistake again.
