Is a Finepix s2980 worth £119...

Hi,

Is a Finepix s2980 a decent cam for £119. Or can you recommend better ones for around the same price.

I'm not serious into photography. I do like to take pics tho.

Suggestions welcome.

I bought the S1500 for £120 about 3 years ago. Nice enough little camera and it does have full auto exposure.

Below is an panoramic image I took in NY in 2008. That was with my old Finepix f610. I took 3 separate images and used photoshop to stitch them together. I'm hoping that the s2980 will up the quality a little.

Any opinions on the video quality for this?

And any opinions in general if this would be superior to a P&S camera in the same price range?

I used to have this camera wasnt so great, now im looking out for a new one. But im torn between the Panasonic G2 or Canon 550D? hmm decisions..
