Is a Netbook quick enough for HD-DVD playback?

As title, ive got a netbook, standard 1.6Ghz Atom, 1Gb RAM and 120Gb HDD running XP.

Ive got a new 37" LCD and im thinking of getting an xbox360 HD HVD ROM to play HD HVD titles via the netbook. The netbook has a monitor port as does the tv.

with mkv files they top out at 720 so I wouldnt have thought they can manage hd dvd
