I'm procrastinating, I've had FF in the past (5D and Contax ND) but moved on as tech improved and the Contax failed. So now I have a Nikon 7200, mix of lenses some are FX/FF, ie old AF-D primes, plus 80-400 VR, Can't knock the 7200, it's veery good, but I have a urge to add a FF Nikon.

I shoot landscape and scenes, buildings etc. Perhaps one airshow a year and motor sport event or two.
Quite often I'll want to retrieve shadow detail of cope with a wide contrast range. Being able to enlarge for wall prints as well.

I see D810 going for around £900-1100, my head sort of says, naaa nought wrong with the 7200 but my heart still says, yeah FF goodness and nice size camera to grab hold of.

Anyone had both and can voice some pro's and cons' etc. I guess the elephant in the room is the 850 !!

Cheers Kei think I am at that "non subjective" junction. I see the 810 as a Contax replacement not a 7200 replacement, which has all the carved from solid block feel and scale. I'm also a film fan, though never have enough time. To keep the ability to still shoot film going I've picked up a Nikon D80D with 28-75 AFD, an F6 would be nice for sure, but the amount of use wasn't worth it. I had a D80 for years before digital. Oh it's going to sting me... 85 quid !... crazy.
