Hey all,

I have this MoBo: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P6T_Deluxe/
The P6T Deluxe,
Unfortunately it takes triple channel RAM and I'd rather not buy more of it.

I was wondering it's possible/worth getting a couple of dual channel rams and clocking them down to what the Board can support.
would this be possible?
It says on the site it can take 2000MHz RAM, could I put say 2133 in it and turn it down, would this work ok?

Thanks

Yup it will work, infact, its exactly what I did when I was running x58 tri channel, brought 2 x dual channel kits of G.Skill RipjawsX 2133mhz, the best I could run it was 1600mhz due to a very heavy overclock on the CPU which I wasnt willing to back down off, to get a slightly faster memory speed, just tightened the timings slightly.

Its not what the board can support, its what the memory controller in the CPU can handle.
