Is A6-9220 the better choice over pentium quad/i3 In a laptop?

looking for a laptop and Think of trying for a buy now pay later to get myself something decent over the under £100 crap I’m finding used, all the new ones I’m looking at has 4gb ram and either 500gb/1tb/rare 2tb, so they will all perform similar in those areas, but the APU is the more expensive one, those intels have intel hd 505 graphics.

I’m not after fancy, so I could just buy one of those small netbooks with atoms and 32gb for under £150 new, but I can’t see how I’d overcome the small storage as I need windows and being new you can’t really offload stuff.
 
You'd find the atom powered stuff really slow. (My daughter has one)
What's your total budget, and what's the main usage ?
 
personally I would not buy a AMD A6 other then for very basic tasks but I would if it were a tossup between an intel Atom.
