Is Age of Empires available for free?

And legally?

Old games from that time seem to be cropping up for free download with no support or anything like Red Alert and the original GTA 1 and 2. I left my disk somewhere so just wondered whether I can legally download it from anywhere?

I doubt it after the HD version released on Steam is just higher resolution support with graphics untouched.

I had a look around, although guessing you already done that too, and couldn't see anything part from demo. Considering it is a Microsoft published game I doubt there be any free downloads of it.

Let us know if you have any luck finding it though.

The HD version was for Age of Empires II though.
