so chaps im a wee bit confused here as i always thought i had the max on the adslmax products on my phone line.heres my stats on my router and speedtests.im in a wee village in ireland as well so thats why i get excellent internet :D

im synced at the very top ipstream profile at 7150

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8128 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 5 db 1 db
Noise Margin 13 db 26 db

www.speedtest.net

download 7.12mb upload 0.38mb

when i re searched my stats ages ago i realised the line could go a lot faster and has excellent snr but i cant figure out why adsl upload isnt getting full speed.download doesnt get the full 8128 as thats 7.9mb so max is 7.2 inc overheads.

the 0.38mb upload should be around 0.43-0.44mb on speedtest if it was going full speed.currently 0.38mb upload equals 389k v the advertised 448k.

im due to upgrade to a business adsl package for the faster upload and better pings and would like to ask has anyone ever asked an isp on this or is it simply overheads? i didnt think overheads took up so much upload speed never mind download speed :(

Generally the rule of thumb for ADSL Max products ( up to 8mb ) You get and upload of up to 40k I myself never used to get above .38 up but now on the 21CN I get 77.8k upload.

You would get fantastic speeds through a LLU provider (if any are available...) and upload speeds up to 2.5meg (through BE) or 1.3 through most other LLUs
