Hi

Just wanted to check that all of these components will be compatible if they were built up together.

Links to each component are below.

Graphics card
Motherboard
Processor
Monitor (Not sure why this would be incompatible )
RAM
Case
Power supply
Sound card
CPU cooler

Thanks in advance.

all looks fine.

i'd maybe swap the creative soundcard for one of the Asus Xonar's.

not sure on the memory, maybe swap it for the 6gb of lower speed corsair.

Agreed with switching the sound card to the Xonar.
Same with the RAM.

Also i don't really like the case :/ but thats personal preference

Get the 4870x2 it is far cheaper than the 295 and almost as fast.
Get 6gb ram.
That power supply is a huge overkill! A 750w would still be too much.
Here is a link to a review of a 4870 and it shows the power consumption of the entire system to be under 450w.
linkypoo

Everything is compatible afaik.

Hope this helps:)

Nvidia fan ;)

Would a 700watt be sufficient?

you seem to be missing a HDD...

Ive already got a hdd, dvd drives and everything else.

Whats the reasoning for the RAM changing? I understand i wont be able to use all of the ram unless i have 64bit windows?

Also...

Whats so good about the Asus sound cards? Which one are you guys talking about in particular? Theres 3 Xonar models

The Asus Xonar D2 7.1 card, main thing with creative is the issues they created with vista drivers, and making software that forces certain pieces of some cards to not be usable.

700W would be more than enough for the setup.

ram changes are purely related to price/amount of memory, 64bit will be required to access it all, if you just want to go with 3gb then go for the corsair, lower speed but around half the price.
