Is am5 compatible with am4 block

Hi all, is the EK Water Blocks EK-Quantum Velocity² D-RGB CPU Water Block For AMD AM5 - Nickel + Plexi compatible with a am4 cpu? I have checked the hole centres and they are the same, can only see the am5 version on the OcUK website. I am fitting it to an Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Formula board. Thanks.

Yep, they use the same cooler bracket so you'll be fine.

AM4 and AM5 are the same but it's the backplate you have to be aware on certain motherboards , usually itx boards, but you should be fine.

as others said.. block is the same .. its the back plate mounting that changed for AM5.. you need to check
