Is an X-FI a worthwhile upgrade from an Audigy 4 pro?

Tough one. The Pro version of the Audigy 4 has a better DAC than all the X-Fi except the Elite Pro. For gaming the later would still be better, and technically, the speakers (as good as they are for MM speakers) probably wouldn't pick up that much difference between the regular and pro version of the X-Fi cards. To answer your question, the X-Fi would be a worthwhile upgrade for gaming, but possibly a downgrade for music.
Oh ok, I do listen to mp3s and watch movies too. I think i'll stick then.
