Is anyone aware of cheating on C&C3?

I've had quite a few games within the past couple of days and have experienced no problems as such. However, whenever me and my friend (we play together) were kicking butt the game just froze! It froze on his screen and on my screen. The computer hadn't crashed but we couldn't exit to the desktop. Is there some form of cheating that is going on that I'm not aware of?! This has happened twice now at times when we are ravaging people's bases and the sceptic in me says that it is not a coincidence that it crashes at that point! IS the guy pulling his internet connection?!! (there are no connetion error screens that appear by the way, just freezing of the game).

Wasn't there some way of slowing things down by repeatedly hitting scroll lock or something. I think they fixed it in version 1.5.

that was with newer patch as well.

Thats the problem with ranking systems, they should have more rigorous testing to find any possible exploits, it ruins games otherwise because of people like the one mentioned by the OP.

Never fails to amaze me how much e-peen plays a factor in online gaming, if theres any kind of ranking system, retarded the lengths people go to so theyre able to get cheap wins.

This is what drove me away from playing RTS games online, atleast from RA2. Got sick of playing a ladder match for ages only for the other guy to start exploiting when I was about to win.

I think it was said that EA will be looking at people that are disconecting a lot and if they suspect it of cheating their accounts will be banned.
