is anyone using a dualshock 4 on ps3?

I ask because i would prefer to use this controller for dark souls 2 but the cable it comes with is way too short so just wondering if anyone is using a longer cable and if so does it work perfectly? No loss of connection etc

I use the default cable and it works fine. Just keep a DS3 nearby if you need to use Sisaxis and/or PS button as they don't work/map on the DS4 into a PS3.

Not technically the answer to the question you asked but thought you might want to hear :)
 
I bought a cheap 3FT DS4 charging cable off eBay and it works fine on the PS3 (apart from what was mentioned above).

I also use it on my PC using the DS4 wrapper and that works beautifully on there... all buttons work how you would expect on there cos it mimics the 360 pad. That wrapper also allows you to use it via bluetooth as well... something that most certainly isn't possible on PS3.
 
No rumble so I dont - is Dark Souls 2 confirmed to work with the DS4?

EDIT: DS worked with DS4 so DS2 should too...

Only on certain games and, for me, it's often ill suited because few games allow you to remap the controls meaning you continue to be stuck with L1 and R1 for aiming and shooting (in shooters) rather than the triggers of the DualShock 4.
