is aperture a lot better than I photo

iPhoto is for consumers, Aperture is for professionals/amateur photographers. Decide which you are (or want to be) and it'll make your choice for you.

Have you looked at Lightroom as well? I think it's great and if you have a PC it's cross-platform too.

thanks,yes i did try it for a few days,don't have a lot of time right now to get deep into these programs thats why I thought aperture would be a good choice as its not too unlike iPhoto.
