well what lnice weather we have been having today :) so good my room is like 30 degress so i decided to check my computer temps with speed fan and to my horror i found that both my segate 7200.12 1tb hdd where at 43 degrees (just in windows god knows what they would have been like at full load) so i decided to shut it down and let it cool abit so the question is "is 43 degrees to hot for a hdd (can it damage them)" if so i will buy more fans (any suggestion on what make etc)

oh yeh my case is a coolermaster 690 lite with 3 120 mm fans

thanks

No it's not too hot, although it is a little warm, I've never seen mine go over 34C and that's on a hot day like today. Can you position it so that a fan blows over it better?

Indeed it has been hot today. As I was reading this I checked how hot my hard drive is.

OCCT is telling me 37c which is a little hot but again it's a hot day. On a normal overcast day in London (lol) my hard drive runs at about 32-33c or maybe a little under.

It should be fine but just to clarify, what temperature does it normally run at?

thats better i have just moved my Agility 3 to where they where (used to be next to fan) and moved the 2 hdd right infront of the 120mm intake fan and they are at 36 now :)

About the same as what mine runs at on an average day. Should be fine. If you're still not convinced, open some windows to get some air in the room.
