Is bluetooth removable from a laptop?

Hi there. I've got an old sony vaio which has bluetooth (was one of the first with it), but my new vaio doesnt (pretty stupiid really i don't see why their low end laptops don't even have bluetooth).

anyway, i was thinking seeing as the new one has the light for bluetooth (i can see it), it must have the connector for it inside. is it possible to take out the bluetooth from the old vaio and put it in the new one or are they not likely to be compatible?

Its very likely that they are removeable, but your pushing it if they were compatible. I got a bluetooth chip for my Dell laptop. it just connects into what looks like a pre cabled internal usb port. The size and shape of them varied however, as each laptop has a different position and way of mounting it. Best way, open it up and have a look.
