Is borderlands worht playing through

My favourite game and on my 3rd play through with a soldier this time around. Huge game and if you keep >= your level a real challenge. AI is very good.
 
Been playing this co-op all weekend with my bro-in-law, currently lv25 ish, and it's been great fun, one of the best co-op games i've played in ages.
 
coop for the win. But for the best results play though from start with people are levels will make a big difference. You might find you just have to sit to there and get leveled up because you cant hurt them.
 
One point I think is worth stressing again is just how much difference levels make in this game, enemies seem to get exponentially harder as the level increases so for example taking on a L10 boss at say L7 can be extremely tough much worse than you would normally expect in this sort of game. It's kinda weird because when you level up you don't feel THAT much more powerful yet you get much more competitive with the baddies. In fact I'd go so far as to say that at times it has felt like the game has make some enemies artificially hard if your level isn't close enough to them to stop people rushing through the game.
 
Did it originally about 2 years ago and got a level 50 Firefly, so went through 2 playthroughs of it. Doing it again now with all the DLC both solo and with a friend and still loving it. Really fun game!
 
Its a great game in coop with a mate or 2, but im not sure i'd want to join random games and join in.
At least playing with someone you know and having VOIP to chat about things, you can make sure you dont take ammo pick-ups that someone might need, the XP & Cash they collect you ALSO get, so theres no greed for stealing money or getting the kills cos you both gain equally even if you didnt fire a shot at someone (infact ive seen my friends weapon skill incr while they've been AFK while ive carried on a bit!).
Having someone who wont steal the weapons in the crates is a bonus, you just have to try and be fair and share goodies, and call dibbs sometimes :D

I really enjoyed it though, done a full playthrough as Soldier, and recently started a new game as the Sniper, doing a 2nd playthrough on that is good fun too, better weapons and badass badies.

BL2 cant come soon enough :D
