i watched an old review on YouTube moments ago at which point any improvements now in skylines wasn't present in the video and so having played the complete edition of simcity on origin access months ago I found addictive, But I don't know what skylines is like now...

Or there's Anno 2205 which I know isn't quite the same aim as skylines and simcity, but it looks good.

Was my birthday yesterday, so I got given a few quid(not wanting to spend it all on games) and looking on cdkeys at potential pc games(and Xbox games) in general I came across city skylines @ 5.99 base or 8.99 deluxe, simcity @ 6.99 base(£13 for the complete edition via origin themselves) and Anno 2205 @ 9.99 so it's made a tough choice lol.. alternative I could just fork out 3.99 for origin access again and carry on with simcity(rest if the games in the vault are still crappy) for the month....

Having owned all 3 I can say without doubt city skylines will keep you entertained for weeks, well worth the money.

Ha okay ideal thanks for the replies, would you also say £8.99 for the deluxe download good too? I don't quite now how long the game been out or best place to look for it..

Hell yes cuties skyline is the best builder Ive ever played, and I really mean that. Make sure you head off to the workshop though and start downloading the hundreds of thousands of assets and mods that are available lol. Incredible game, I just wish I had more time to play it as my attention to detail is very anal and I end up getting nowhere in days.

Simcity lol. More like SimCity Junior with that tiny plot of land you get. Can't believe people actually bought it (you know who you are)

Skylines all the way.

Cities you feel like you are actually building a living breathing city. The challenge is to maintain the city as its population swells. I remember the first time i got a 100,000 population city just before i lost 20,000 from sickness due to a poorly designed road network. So addictive.

Cities Skylines is different game than Sim City. The latter is more simplified for online co-op, with limited space and quirks
The former (Skylines) is a proper simulator, far advanced than any other before, mainly because the civs are more or less proper AI and each to their own.

I think that it was the latest Sim City that made me stop pre ordering games. I even avoided a lot of the pre release stuff as I was so sure that they could not get that game wrong :(

Cities Skylines, even with its objects limits etc, is an amazing game for sure and one that can be made even better with the use of mods. Sadly one of my much liked mods (IPT)) doesn't seem to work with the latest patch and the dev has gone on to other things it seems.

Great game and well worth the money. Then again some of the DLC's can be a bit hit and miss, if you do get into using mods just check if they need some or all of the DLC before you use them.

Skylines is under $6 on the Humble store at the moment. Skylines all the way from me, SimCity doesn't come anywhere close to it now.

holy **** what a bargain.

I've briefly played Cities Skylines and honestly as others have said it is leaps and bounds better than SimCity. With the above link I would 100% pick it up at that price.
