Is cod WAW still alive?

MW2 wrecked the franchise with all the chit in it. Treyarch tried to back peddled a little and tone things down but at that stage it was to late. The franchise was heading in that firm direction set out by MW2.

I had the retail version from release but for the life of me i cant find it.

Yeah I've never seen COD games go for less than ~£10, on Steam at least (bought 4 on some Mac/OSX key site for £5 and it worked on Windows :D).

WAW is probably my favourite though. Hopefully they'll go back to it after Black Ops (considering they're on their 3rd one now, I think they need a change of pace!)

Campaign was awesome. Zombies was a nice surprise and some of the latter DLC maps made it a huge deal better. I think there's even a modding scene on the PC version. Can even remember some of the gun sounds :p
 
The zombie modded custom maps are great, all the latest perk machines on the new black ops are there, and guns from black too.

It's black and white at first until power comes on.
